Carmen in Performance June 7, 8, and 9, 2019
Opera51's annual staged fundraiser production for 2019 will be Georges Bizet's Carmen, one of the most popular and often-performed operas of all time. Fully costumed and staged with orchestra, and sung in French with projected English titles, performances will be held on June 7, 8, and 9, 2019. Tickets will go on sale in the early spring. A festive gala fundraiser for Carmen will be held on the evening of April 6 at the First Trinitarian Church across from 51 Walden. Details and ticket purchase instructions will be posted on this site in late winter.
Hansel and Gretel
Three performances of Hansel and Gretel were given on December 15 and 16, 2018 in a fundraiser production with beautiful costumes and a dazzling gingerbread house. The wicked witch got her due. A good time was had by all!

Fundraisers for 51 Walden
Opera51 performances are benefit fundraisers to support operation of the 51 Walden facility. Proceeds contribute valuable funds to the maintenance and operation of 51 Walden, a community resource supporting hundreds of local residents each week throughout the year.
Significant funds are raised each year through opera performances and associated corporate sponsorships, program ads, and individual donations, and through special events including an early spring Gala and a Columbus Day rummage sale.
