10th Anniversary Season of Operatic Fundraising Performances at 51 Walden
Romeo and Juliet - 3 performances June 10, 11, 12, 2016
The explosive opening bars of Charles Gounod's opera Romeo and Juliet signal that an intense dramatic musical experience is on the way. Gounod perfectly matches his beautiful and dynamic music to Shakespeare's dramatic storyline in an unforgettable presentation that will alternately thrill and touch your heart.
Celebrating the 10th anniversary season of operatic fundraising performances at 51 Walden, Opera51 is presenting this dramatic masterpiece in a fully staged and costumed performance with full orchestra on June 10, 11, and 12, 2016. The opera, premiered in Paris in 1867 and a favorite in opera houses around the world ever since, will be sung in French with English surtitles.

Significant funds have already been raised in a rummage sale last October, a Gala in April, corporate sponsorships, program ads, and individual donations.
Donations to support 51 Walden can be made directly here, or by sending a check payable to "51 Walden" to P O Box 251, Concord, MA 01742. 51 Walden is a 501(c)3 organization.
